Our Story
Hada Labo originated in Japan in 2004 as a sister brand of the leading pharmaceutical company Rohto. Hada means “skin” in Japanese, while Labo means “research laboratory”. True to our name, we approached skincare from a scientific perspective to create products that deliver real results.
Our iconic lotions and cleansers were some of the first to incorporate multiple molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, allowing it to penetrate deep into the skin. This technology delivered intense hydration that transformed the skincare industry in Japan.
